WHAT YOUR KIDS WILL LEARN

Day 1 - Following Jesus

Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him, learn from Him, and share His truth with others. Kids will discover what it means to truly follow Jesus in everyday life.

Day 2 - Trusting Jesus in Life’s Storms

Storms come into every life — fear, worry, hard times, and uncertainty. Kids will learn that Jesus understands our struggles, stays with us through every storm, and has power over them all.

Day 3 - Jesus Saves

Kids will discover why Jesus came, how much God loves us, and why only Jesus can bring us into a relationship with God.

Day 4 - Growing in Faith

Following Jesus doesn’t stop after salvation. Kids will learn practical ways to grow stronger in their faith through prayer, God’s Word, church, and sharing the Gospel with others.

YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

Parents are Welcome

We know it can feel weird leaving your kid with people you are not familiar with. That's why we encourage parents to stay and participate in the activities with the children or just sit back and watch your child enjoy the fun. While you're at VBS you can meet other parents and the Plains Baptist Church's Children's Program staff while your kids enjoy a safe and fun evening.

Child Check-In

VBS, Vacation Bible School child check-in, child safety, Plains Baptist Church, Lincoln Nebraska

Before a child can participate in VBS, we require their parent/guardian to the register their child and provide information such as an emergency contact and any allergies.
Each child gets a name tag so VBS workers can more easily keep track of every child.
We make every effort to keep your children safe including diligently noting any food allergies and indicating these on the child's name tag for their safety during snack time.

Safe and Visible Workers

vbs, vacation bible school workers, Plains Baptist Church, Lincoln Nebraska

Every Vacation Bible School worker must pass a background check before they are able to work with children. Background checks are updated regularly to ensure your child's safety.
To ensure you and your children can easily identify the VBS workers, each worker has an official VBS t-shirt and current year ID lanyard.
